Made from soft, breathable Lycra material with a thin, flexible non-slip rubber sole, they feel Kinda Like Socks while giving your feet protection from hot surfaces, small stones and rough ground.
They’re perfect for the beach, rock pools, swimming, fishing, boating, watersports, camping, travelling and exploring. Lightweight and easy to pack, they’re also great for cruises, flights, holidays or simply relaxing at home.
But Kaalfööt is about so much more than adventure. They’re also used by hospital patients, people recovering from knee, hip and back operations, and children who are touch sensitive to the feel of traditional shoes. We have many physiotherapists who recommend Kaalfööt Kicks during recovery because of their lightweight, flexible design and non-slip sole.

Cleaning your Kaalfööt Kicks is as easy as pie, but without the mess!
Machine wash:
Prefer to hand wash? No problem!
Simply remove the insoles and wash your Kicks in a bowl of cold water with a little detergent. Gently wash them by hand, rinse well and place them outside to air dry. Wash and dry the insoles separately.
A few important no-nos: No fabric softener and no tumble dryer.

The website offered a size 9, I got a 8/9 and had to return it to get the next size up. The return cost me R95 but I'm OK with that. I do like the shoes and hope they last. I had another brand previously (twice) first pair lasted 2 year with heavy daily use and the 2nd pair started coming apart after less than a year and they would not replace them. Shame on them - that's how you lose a customer.

The fabric on the sunflower shoes are incredibly thin and flimsy. I am terribly disappointed with the quality of my shoes. It's definitely not worth the price that I paid. My husband and son ordered the navy shoes and they are happy with what they got.

I love my Kaalfööt shoes so so so much! I know how good barefoot shoes are for the Health of not only your feet but your whole body and these crazily affordable options are an absolute game changer. They are also incredibly comfortable and I literally put them on in the shop and haven’t worn any other shoes since. That really is saying a lot because I normally take a very long time to get used to something new.

My experience with customer service was the first noticeable red flag. I had wanted to know how thick the rubber soles were so I could decide if buying these shoes would suit my need for them. Once I received a response; I was disappointed to be given the same generic and vague description on the website and was then not responded to again when I asked for specifications. Ultimately, the rubber is not thick enough to be advertised as appropriate for interactions with sharp rocks or rock pools as any sharp point will still be obviously felt.
